Golden Foiled Edged Rose's

Hello All,
As promised, we are going to expain how we created the Golden Foiled Edged Rose's on the card in the previous post.
To start with we needed a piece of Cream Linen card to give that textured look. We then needed to use a 2'' 6 Petaled Flower punch to punch out three full flowers. We then took a glue pen making sure to neatly draw around the edges of each individual flower. This was then left to dry tacky. Once tacky, using Transfer Foil, place the foil face up onto your flower. Using the flat end of a Bone folder, gently rub around the edges of the flower making sure that the foil is sticking. Peel back the foil from the flowers and you should be left with a flower with a mottled Golden Foiled edge. Continue by folding, cutting, glueing and layering to achive your desired Rose effect. 'Golden Wedding Anniversary' Card

Hello All,
We decided to make a card for a Golden Wedding Anniversary that was coming up. We knew the card had to be special, so this card was time consuming, but well worth the effort! We make this a large card to empathise the occasion.

This is a 'Portrait' style card we've made using a Scalloped '8x8' square card. Being as this was designed as a Golden Wedding Anniversary card, we knew that we had to follow the theme of 'Gold and Cream'. We used Gold Mirrored card for our backing layer and then followed on with layering a pale Cream Rose backing paper on top. To match, we cut out Mirrored card again using the Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Seventeen at the largest size, then cut out our sentiment verse using the next size down as this then gives a nice border. We did the same with the name tag at the top of the card only cutting this out in a rectangular fashion not using the Spellbinders Nestabillities. The rose's were hand crafted and we will explain how they were created in our next post. The final embelishements being the 'Bride & Groom' and the 'Ribbon & Bow' were added to complete the project.

Wild Rose Studio 'Ladies Stamps'

Hello All,
We have made a few different cards using a vairety of the Wild Rose Studio 'Ladies' stamps.

This is a simple 'Portrait Fold' style card that we've used at a size of '6x8'. This card has been worked around the theme colour of 'Pink and Brown'. The main backing of the card is brown, and then layered up into pink patterned backing. On the right-hand-side of the card, We have used a border punch out of brown backing paper, layered onto a plain peice of 'Candyfloss Pink' card. The main feature of this card is the Lace border which has been added to add texture. The image, once stamped was coloured with appropriate colours to match with the cards theme and then coated with a glitter spray. The flowers were added as final embellishments.

This is a square '6x6' plain card. Again, this card is also worked around the base colour of 'Pink and Brown'. We designed the card to be elegant and classy which has been achived through the lace border used, the delicate flower embelishments and the greeting sentiment.

This is a square '6x6' plain card again. This was one stamp of Wild Rose Studio that we was instanly drawn to as it has lots of potential. We have choose to once again, follow with the same theme of 'Pink and Brown'. This has been stamped then coloured accordingly and finally glitter sprayed. The Lace border is the main focus of these three cards as it is new area for us. We think it's really effective as it brings the cards into a new dimension.

New 'The Greeting Farm' Stamps

Hello All,
This is our first blog, which we are very excited about! The 'Greeting Farm' stamps come in vairiety of different collections, but the collection we have used is the 'Miss Anya Collection'. There are three stamps in this set though on these two cards we've produced, we have only used one of the three so there are many more designs that can be made.

This is an 'Easel' style card we've made using a Scalloped '6x6' square card. We have used a variety of differant style backing papers, using Pink as our main theme colour. The stamped image has also been sprayed with glitter to add shimmer and dimension to the card.

This is a simple 'Landscape Fold' style card that we've used at a size of '6x8'. Again, on this card we have also used a variety of backing papers, placing the 'Polka Dot Pink' backing at the very back of the card to help influence the idea of layering up. This card is based on the theme colour of pink, and being as this has been designed as an eighteenth birthday card, we have also introduced 'Hot Pink' to empathise this occasion. The image has once again been sprayed with a glitter coating to match the numbers '18' at the bottom of the card. It has then been finished off with added embelishments to 'Glitz' the card up.
